Beyoncé has unexpectedly expanded the world of 'MORNING DEW'.
Without warning, the global superstar has released the 'MORNING DEW (DONK) REMIX PACK', giving the track an entirely new identity through a collection of reworked versions that range from orchestral arrangements to stripped-back acoustic interpretations. The release also reunites her with JAŸ-Z on record for the first time in five years.
Leading the project is a new remix featuring the rapper, who delivers a guest verse over a production that evolves dramatically from start to finish. What begins with booming, bass-heavy production inspired by Sheck Wes' "Mo Bambagradually," transforms into a slower, more soulful second half, borrowing from The Isley Brothers' timeless "Between the Sheets" while also referencing Goodie Mob's "They Don't Dance No Mo'."
Alongside the headline collaboration, Beyoncé explores the song through several different sonic directions. The "DONK Mix" introduces sweeping orchestral instrumentation, while an acoustic version strips everything back, allowing René Toledo's guitar work to take centre stage beneath her vocals.
To coincide with the release, Beyoncé has also shared a visual companion built around previously unseen footage. The video revisits the making of "Upgrade U," piecing together behind-the-scenes clips and archive outtakes to celebrate one of the defining moments from her catalogue.
The surprise EP arrives ahead of the forthcoming 20th-anniversary edition of "B'Day," continuing the celebrations surrounding one of the most influential albums of Beyoncé's career while giving fans an unexpected reunion with one of music's most iconic duos.
