Drake is reportedly being considered for a headline slot at Coachella next year, potentially bringing him back to the Indio festival more than a decade after he first topped the bill.

The rumour comes via 'HitsDailyDouble', which listed Drake among the artists currently in the conversation for Coachella 2027. At this stage, there’s no suggestion that a deal has been completed, meaning the potential booking remains firmly in the early-talks category.

Drake is coming off a pretty crazy 2026, though. He released three albums across the year: 'ICEMAN', 'MAID OF HONOUR' and 'HABIBTI'. Of the three, 'ICEMAN' made the biggest commercial impact, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spending five weeks at the top of the Canadian Albums chart.

He followed that run in September with 'FOMO', an hour-long film filled with unreleased music. Several tracks featured in the project subsequently arrived on streaming as part of the expanded 'HABIBTI (FOMO)' release in early October.

Drake has announced plans to head out on a world tour in 2027, meaning a Coachella appearance would land during another major period of live activity for the rapper. Should the deal go ahead, he would headline both of the festival’s weekends in Indio.

Drake first headlined Coachella back in 2015, shortly after releasing 'If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late'. The career-spanning performance famously included a surprise appearance from Madonna, resulting in one of the festival’s more memorable onstage moments.

Two years later, Drake returned to Coachella in a different capacity, joining Future during his 2017 performance and running through tracks including their 'What a Time to Be Alive' collaboration “Jumpman.”

With three more albums now added to an already enormous catalogue, that approach could give him plenty of room to make Coachella’s two weekends feel different should the reported booking become a reality.

For now, though, Drake’s return to the desert remains a rumour. Coachella has yet to confirm him as part of its 2027 lineup.
