Oakley’s Future Genesis enters a new era of storytelling

We all know Oakley for its quality functional eyewear, accessories, and footwear (with its Brain Dead-powered Factory Team project), but now the brand is heading into the digital world with its Future Genesis project. This new Oakley venture sees the label fuse its nearly 50-year legacy with the momentum of a new generation. The Chapter One film and preview comic re-introduces Max, the cornerstone of Oakley’s heritage, who grows increasingly more cautious of the outside world, and Sasha, his wife, who remains hopeful, but we won’t give it all away. The release of the multimedia project sees Oakley push its storytelling into a new form by collaborating with Dark Horse, one of the largest comic publishers in the US, who will unveil a new preview comic depicting the storyline in late May.

Story mfg. gets wonky for Pre-Fall 2024

For its Pre-Fall 2024 collection, Story mfg. has embraced the art of imperfection for its “Wonky-Wear” capsule. The new clobber is an ode to the naive details found in vintage workwear, which is recreated using single-needle machines and completely dyed by hand. Chore jackets, vests, and patched-up work pants all come in a range of nice-on-the-retina palettes using the Brighton-based label’s natural dying processes. Shop the “Wonky-Wear” collection here

They work with a warm weather-ready cork footbed and classic DMs yellow welt stitch to offer a summer take on a solid shoe. Head to the Dr. Martens online store to grab a pair for yourself.
