Matthieu Blazy is Chanel’s new Creative Director

Matthieu Blazy just bagged the position that everyone wanted. After months of rumours, Chanel has finally announced that its new Creative Director, taking over from Virginie Viard who left in June, is Bottega Veneta’s former CD, Matthieu Blazy.

Known for his playful approach to high fashion - his animal-shaped beanbag chairs created a viral moment out of a ‘90s student digs essential - and his insane attention to detail, like jeans that are actually made from leather, Matthieu Blazy’s been killing it in his role at Bottega Veneta since 2022.

Not only is Blazy set to bring his iconic craftmanship to Chanel, but we’re sure his roster of celebrities will follow him too - A$AP Rocky’s wardrobe is about to get a few more C-logos. What about Matthieu's old position? ICYMI, Louise Trotter is heading up Bottega Veneta in Matthieu Blazy’s place.

Wdyt Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel will look like?
