As a follow up on last year’s massively successful “No Emotions are Emotions” 992, Joe Freshgoods is back once again with another eclectically-colored New Balance sneaker. Inspired by the creative’s upbringing in the west side of Chicago through the 90’s - “Made for us, if the video confuses you that’s the point” Joe says on Instagram.
We see a blue mesh base with brown suede overlays, all tied together with bright green detailing by way of tooling as well as “JFG” and “Outside Clothes” stamped on each heel. The sneaker was featured on the cover of Sneaker Freaker’s 45th issue, and Joe famously teased the pair - live on air - to the cast of the Full Size Run show, so it comes as no surprise to see that the collaboration is being received with positive reception.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990V3 is set to release exclusively in Chicago on August 5, with a wider release due to follow later this month.
