New Balance has had an incredible couple of years, going from being known in the mainstream as footwear for dads to becoming an absolute powerhouse pushing out high quality, flavorful collaborations as well as grabbing attention with their experimental Tokyo Design Studio headed by Joe Grondin. The biggest news in sneakers this week was the surprise unveiling of the 990V6, the Boston brand’s latest and greatest take on their iconic 990 line.

This hasn’t stopped the older iterations from getting some love, however. This week also saw the unveiling of two pairs of 990V3 – a sneaker designed in 2012 – which has largely gone under the radar until now aside from a JJJJound collab last year. The first pair, dubbed “Here to Stay”, comes from Bodega as a celebration of their 15th birthday, arriving in a predominantly brown colorway with bright color detailing throughout. The second is a product of New Balance and KITH’s long standing partnership and sees the 990V3 don navy blue suede and cream trim.
The New Balance x Bodega “Here to Stay” 990V3 releases June 16 exclusively from Bodega’s site, while KITH’s collaborative output remains unobtainable for now.
