Glenn Martens, current creative director at Diesel and formerly CD at Y/Project (RIP), is taking over as creative director at Maison Margiela.
After John Galliano’s departure back in December, who sat on the Margiela CD chair for 10 years, the fashion world has been speculating who will take over the vacant chair at Margiela – even Ye was thrown in the conversation.
Martens is moving on after his 11-year tenure at Y/Project, which ended back in September. And, in case you were worried – he’s not leaving his CD position at Diesel any time soon.
The fashion industry is excited for this new Margiela era, Martens is built for this and real ones know we called it back in September.
