Dr. Martens links up with MM6 Maison Margiela

Goated shoe brand Doc Martens has once again joined forces with MM6 Maison Margiela on two pairs of deconstructed shoes. The first is a boot that has been amalgamated with a brogue, the second a brogue that appears to have been merged with a loafer. Both are similar to the two pairs the brands released last year, just in all white instead of black and maroon.

Last time, due to their shape and colouring, the drop felt more Doc Martens than Margiela, this time, rendered in all white, the shoes felt quintessentially Margiela (even if they don’t feature the infamous Tabi toe): clean, slick, and utilitarian.

And it isn’t the first time Doc Martens has collaborated with a high-fashion brand: it has previously partnered with Rick Owens, Marc Jacobs, and A Cold Wall* (as well as artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.)

The drop will be available in store and online from July 17th.
