Dr. Martens knows how to pick its fashion collabs – with Rick Owens, Denim Tears and A Cold Wall* up its sleeve – and now it’s MM6’s turn, which has also recently worked with Salomon for a capsule collection of sneakers and sportswear.

This new linkup did not disappoint. The avant-garde Maison Margiela sister label loves to subvert traditional designs, and the new collab with the British heritage brand is no different. Each piece is a deconstructed play on classic Doc designs such as the OG 1460 boot, the 1461 shoe and the Penton loafer – resulting in hybrid silhouettes that merge different styles together in all-black and black/oxblood colourways.

The collaboration debuted on the MM6 Fall 2024 runway show, a collection that referenced looks from Martin Margiela’s Hermès years of the late ‘90s – and what’s more ‘90s than a worn-in Doc?
With Dr. Martens’ shoe-crafting legacy and MM6’s experimental approach to design, the three styles are a hard hybrid of both brands’ conceptual visions.
The limited edition collection drops tomorrow, November 19th, at maisonmargiela.com/mm6 and drmartens.com.
