The Formula 1 British Grand Prix kicks off today at 3pm, so we asked the team at Culted to come up with the ultimate driving playlist for feeling as though you’re on the tracks at Silverstone too. From beats that feel like the fast lane to tracks to cruise to, here’s our roundup of the driving songs we know Max Versappen’s vibing to.

JORDAN

Drive Slow – Kanye ft. Paul Wall

I know we can’t talk about Kanye any more but for this choice, it doesn’t matter cos this song is all about Paul Wall. The Houston rapper’s love letter to car culture and bling is a highlight from Late Registration. Where most songs will make you wanna speed down the freeway, Drive Slow makes you want to just do that, slowly crawl along the curb with the music blaring out.

Listen

ROBYN

Vroom Vroom – Charli XCX

If I were to ever get the chance to sit in the driver’s seat of an F1 car, you know this would be playing on full blast the entire time.

Listen

AURA

Bad Girls – M.I.A.

Based off the music video alone – this is what I imagine it would feel like to drive an F1 car.

Listen

SOLENNE

1991 – Azealia Banks

Window down, wind in hair, oat matcha latte in one hand and aux cord in the other (hands free because I’m a passenger princess).

Listen

QUINN

CYBERTRUCK – Bad Bunny

There is something about the synths build up that takes me to seconds before lights out. But turns out I’m just speeding around Rotherhithe tunnel at 1am. Sends me to the club from the car.

Listen

SHAAN

Flashing Lights – Kanye West

Yes, that was me screaming the chorus at the traffic lights. I miss the old Kanye.

Listen

HOLLY

Shut Up and Drive – Rhianna

Me to literally everyone that road rages at me in my little smart car – I’m just a girl 🥺.
