Last night, Hollywood celebrated the acting feats of 2023 with the 81st annual Golden Globes awards. And what a year it was. We had the intense emotional journey of Oppenheimer, the feel-good movie of the year, Barbie, and the consequent Barbie-core-ification of everything that turned the world pink.
On the small screen, we were gripped by masterpieces like The Bear, and Succession, with the latter sparking a fashion moment in itself, cough cough, quiet luxury. And, as with any red carpet awards ceremony, the outfits were as on point as ever, from Hunter Schafer in Prada to Florence Pugh in Valentino, the ‘fits were fitting with full force. See our roundup of the best Golden Globes 2024 outfits below.
Taylor Swift wearing Gucci
Taylor Swift attended the Golden Globes fresh off the back of her blockbuster The Eras Tour, a nearly three-hour cinematic journey of her career achievements. And while she narrowly missed out on a win to Barbie for the New Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Awards, she was out to win on the red carpet.
Swift wore a custom Gucci by Sabato de Sarno dress in shimmering green which dazzled on the red carpet. She accessorised with silver jewellery, which complimented her silver stilettos, subtly complimenting the standout dress.
Pedro Pascal in Bottega Veneta
Pedro Pascal wore Bottega Veneta to last night’s ceremony, pairing a black and white patterned turtleneck with black trousers, and the Italian Luxury house’s lug boot on foot. In terms of accessories, Pascal donned an arm sling, which was a fashion highlight in itself on this year’s red carpet.
Billie Eilish in Willy Chavarria

Billie Eilish said “Corp core, but make it Billie” for her Golden Globes look as she donned a Willy Chavarria boxy blazer and beige ankle-length skirt in her signature oversized style. To soften the sharp lapels of the jacket, a curved collar shirt was paired with soft bows which fastened around the neck to add some coquette cool to the mix. On foot, the Original Song Award winner wore kitten heels with red ankle socks.
Hunter Schafer in Prada

Hunter Schafer donned a semi-sheer Prada wrap-around dress which fell to floor length, which was finished with an impressive, asymmetrical train. The look went heavy on the ethereal vibes, and was almost supernatural in its appearance. A big yes from us.
Barry Keoghan in Louis Vuitton
This is what Oliver would wear in the Saltburn sequel, after raiding James’ wardrobe. Barry Keoghan definitely traumatised us on screen with his drain-licking and grave-fornicating performance, but his Golden Globes red carpet look was giving. He donned a Louis Vuitton two-piece suit, with the jacket and trousers featuring slightly different shades of red and squared patterns. What really brought this whole look together, though, was the accessorising, as Keoghan wore an array of pearl chains to match his cufflinks and a circular, golden brooch – very on the theme of Keoghan.
Dua Lipa in Schiaparelli
Dua Lipa was nominated for her first-ever Golden Globes award last night thanks to her Barbie anthem, “Dance the Night,” which was just one of the bangers that soundtracked the film. For the occasion, Dua blessed us with a velvet Schiaparelli dress accented with diamond bones, and we couldn’t get enough of it. The look was paired with Jimmy Choo heels and a rare Tiffany & Co. topaz necklace from 1962.
Jeremy Allen White in Calvin Klein
Jeremy Allen White sent the internet into a fluster in his latest Calvin Klein campaign, so it’s no surprise he was wearing the label. As per his recent monochrome looks he has been enjoying with Rosalía recently, he wore a relaxed all-black suit worn with an open collar and angular leather boots. Bravo, Jeremy – it’s a yes from us.
Julianne Moore in Bottega Veneta

Julianne Moore wore a strapless Bottega Veneta gown in a dazzling deep red colour. Not only did the dress effortlessly extend from the hip, showcasing a series of stylish pleats, but it also had built-in pockets. This one gets a big yes from us.
Rosamund Pike wearing Dior Couture
Rosamund Pike’s textured Dior Couture dress was a thing of beauty, perfectly using sheer mesh to offer contrast to the upper. Worn with a black headdress, it was a sombre moment, which embodied Pike’s Saltburn performance.
Florence Pugh in Valentino
Florence Pugh was nominated for Best Feature (Drama) nominee for her performance in Oppenheimer, and for the occasion, she wore a red floor-length Valentino lace dress designed by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli inspired by the Pre-Fall 24 collection.
Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
Emma Stone stunned in a custom Louis Vuitton gown with flower embroidery courtesy of Louis Vuitton’s Women’s Creative Director, Nicolas Ghesquière. The brand ambassador completed the elegant display with Louis Vuitton High Jewellery by Francesca Amfitheatrof.
Timothée Chalamet in CELINE

You can always count on Timothée Chalamet to feminise menswear on the red carpet. This time around, this was done through a sparkly CELINE suit jacket and a black-and-silver necklace that’s so baby girl of him.
Margot Robbie in Armani Privé
Margot Robbie continues to put on her best Barbie pink ‘fits with this Armani Privé number. While she might have missed out on the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture to Emma Stone, Robbie still makes it onto our best-dressed list. Her sequined, v-neck bright pink dress is matched with an entire pink outfit, including a tulle shawl, a sparkling clutch, and some pointy heels, inspired by a 1977 Barbie doll. This Barbie will always be best dressed in our eyes.
Ayo Edebiri in Prada

Ayo Edebiri took home a win with the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy), and who better to be accompanied by than Prada? The Bear actress wore a custom red Prada gown. The strapless number was decorated with superfine organza and gazar, the light and airy fabric that became the main character of Prada Donna’s SS24 collection.
Meryl Streep in Valentino
The devil wore Valentino last night. Meryl Streep came sequined up in a black two-piece with a bowed white shirt underneath, a look personally designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli. The highlight of this evening look was definitely the sunnies – we get it, queen, those flashes are bright.
