Barbour and C.P. Company have linked up for a second collaboration just in time for the winter ahead, combining the best in British outerwear with a helping of Italian excellence. This second collaboration explores the two brand’s constant search for innovation through tradition.

C.P. Company was founded in 1971 by Massimo Ositi, and it’s known for its functional military-inspired outerwear and clever use of contemporary fabrics, unique processing techniques and bold designs. This is combined with Barbour’s famous waxed cotton and offers a fusion of both brands’ expertise.

For the second collaboration, Ardanlanish tweed in a C.P. Company construction results in stand-out, hard-wearing garments in an earthy colour palette.

Ian Bergin, Director of Menswear at Barbour, shared what it was like to work on the project with C.P. Company: “Massimo Osti created a design language condensing militaria and service garments into a recognisable design signature. Barbour has always developed products geared to protecting the wearer against the uncertain weather conditions of living by the North Sea… Working with the C.P. Company team is always a pleasure, and in this collaboration, we have developed pieces which are, in some ways, instant classics.”

As part of the outerwear offering, we see the Barbour Bedale jacket (which was first designed in 1980) merged with the C.P. Company Millie Jacket in a Barbour x C.P. Company Creel wax jacket. Designed with practicality in mind, the jacket features wrap-around flap pockets, and a detachable hood emblazoned with C.P.’s instantly recognisable lens and goggles. This unique style has been crafted from Barbour’s classic 8oz cotton and features a heavy-weight two-way ring pull-up that continues up to the hood.

Also making up the collection are 25 limited edition re-loved Barbour jackets, produced in the brand’s South Shields factory, repaired and reimaged, giving the items a new lease of life. These will be available from October 9 on the C.P. website, with all proceeds being donated to the World Land Trust Charity, an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats.

The mainline collection will be available to purchase from October on both the Barbour and C.P. Company websites.
