Burberry unveils its Lunar New Year campaign
The British heritage brand, now led by Daniel Lee, is getting ready for the Lunar New Year by unveiling this year’s campaign. Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, Burberry’s latest campaign is rooted in a vibrant red colour. Imagery shot by photographer Ryan McGinley takes us to the city of Chengdu, accompanied by brand ambassadors Tang Wei and Chen Kun, as well as He Cong, Wang Xiangguo, and Alex Schlab.
Kick back & relax with CELINE headphones
Christmas may have passed by already, but if you’re looking to treat a loved one, CELINE is here for you. The French Maison collaborated with the sound specialist Master & Dynamic to produce a pair of headphones, first unveiled during its Women Summer 24 show. Sleek and sophisticated, the headphones feature a lambskin leather headband, available in black, black and silver, and tan and silver. Wake up… Kiko Kostadinov and Nina Christen pieces are now available on At.Kollektive. The leather specialist launched by ECCO has invited two new young designers to take over its workshops in a creative exchange, resulting in beautiful products rooted in practical design. Nina Christen has used the opportunity to create ballerinas and other flat shoes, as well as rounded clutch bags. Stone Island gets liminal for its latest collection
The Italian-born, British-embraced brand Stone Island has released its Summer ‘024 collection, dedicated to the Year of the Dragon. A reversible bomber jacket, crewneck sweater and t-shirt take on a lead grey and red colourway, finished off with the Stone Island golden compass logo patch, of course. Accompanying the collection is a liminal-feeling campaign, as models are seen placed by slightly reflective silver panels. If that sounds like a bit of you, head to Stone Island’s website.
BAPE® gives its SK8 STA a gradient treatment
The SK8 STA has become an icon of the BAPE® brand, but that doesn’t mean it can’t get a design remix. To celebrate the new year, the NIGO-founded label is releasing four new pairs, all treated with a gradient effect on its suede leather. The shoe, releasing online and in stores on January 6, comes in a grey, beige, black and green colourway, so which one will you be picking?
G-SHOCK celebrates 40 years with Victory Lap & Slawn
G-SHOCK brings back G-SESSIONS in celebration of the 40-year anniversary of the brand. For such a momentous occasion, G-SHOCK has surrounded itself with good company, hitting up the UK music platform Victory Lap and London-based artist Slawn for one hell of a party which included a chopper-spotting competition. And the celebrations aren’t quite over yet, as G-SHOCK is throwing another event today filled with live music and good vibes.
Salomon taps Lord Apex for its campaign
The gorp-approved Salomon has released its ACS + CSWP model, a trail running shoe adapted from the archive gold and decked out with waterproof and temperature-regulative technology. Coming in four colourways – Citadel / Pearl Blue / Black, Lunar Rock / Silver Metallic X / Black, Black / Magnet / Golden Yellow, and Falcon / Cement / Vanilla Ice – the Salomon ACS + CSWP’s release was celebrated with a Lord Apex-fronted campaign, where the artist can be seen wearing the shoes around London.
New Balance x Footpatrol talk craft with Autotelic Objects
New Balance just released its WRPD runner in brown, and to celebrate, the shoe and lifestyle brand has teamed up with retailer Footpatrol to enlist Justas Silkauskas, the founder of Autoletic Objects ceramic workshop. Swatch celebrates the Year of the Dragon
The Swiss watch brand Swatch is the latest brand to celebrate the Chinese New Year, with a specific focus on the Year of the Dragon, which also happens to be the name of its new collection.
