So, the World Cup trophy will be arriving in style on Sunday, because Louis Vuitton has revealed the bespoke Trophy Trunk that will carry the official trophy during the 2026 tournament.
Handcrafted at Louis Vuitton's historic Asnières atelier on the outskirts of Paris, the trunk stays true to the Maison's aesthetic. Wrapped in the brand's iconic Monogram canvas, it is finished with a striking gold "V", representing both victory and Vuitton, while gold-tone metal hardware nods to the trunks Louis Vuitton first began producing in the 19th century. Inside, the trophy is housed within a light beige leather-lined interior, complete with bespoke detailing celebrating the collaboration with FIFA.
The Trophy Trunk will make its official debut at the FIFA World Cup Final, where it will be carried onto the pitch by Louis Vuitton ambassadors alongside a football legend before the sport's biggest prize is presented to the tournament winners.
Alongside the unveiling, Louis Vuitton has also introduced a capsule of collectible trunks inspired by the design of the Trophy Trunk itself. The limited-edition collection includes the Coffret 8 Montres, Cotteville 16 Montres and Malle Courrier Lozine 110, each decorated with hand-painted artwork inspired by the FIFA World Cup Trophy and finished in the Maison's signature Monogram canvas. Every piece can also be personalised with the owner's initials, continuing Louis Vuitton's long-standing tradition of bespoke craftsmanship.
