YEEZY and Mowalola are continuing their creative partnership with the latest instalment of their "KITTY" collection, introducing two new colourways across a selection of underwear essentials.
The release sees Nigerian-British designer Mowalola Ogunlesi reconnect with Ye, further developing a working relationship that stretches back several years. Having previously been appointed design director of YEEZY Gap, Mowalola has played a role in shaping the creative direction of Ye's fashion ventures, bringing her experimental approach to design into the wider YEEZY universe.
For their latest collaboration, the duo have turned their attention to everyday underwear, presenting a concise offering that combines Mowalola's provocative design sensibilities with YEEZY's stripped-back aesthetic. The collection places emphasis on silhouette, fit and accessibility, continuing the minimalist direction associated with Ye's recent releases.
At the centre of the collection are two styles, the KS-01 Kitty Short and the KP-01 Kitty Panty, both arriving in new ‘Black’ and ‘Tan’ colourways. Each piece features a streamlined construction, with clean lines and minimal detailing creating an understated finish. Designed with comfort in mind, the garments offer a versatile approach to underwear and everyday loungewear.
Mowalola's eponymous label has built a reputation for challenging conventional ideas surrounding sexuality, identity and contemporary fashion. Her collections frequently explore body-conscious silhouettes, bold graphics and unconventional styling, making the latest collaboration a natural extension of her wider creative output.
The release marks another chapter in the pair's ongoing relationship, bringing Mowalola's distinctive aesthetic to YEEZY's accessible product offering while maintaining a focus on simplicity and functionality.
The YEEZY x Mowalola ‘KITTY’ collection is available now via YEEZY's official website, with the KP-01 Kitty Panty retailing for $30 USD and the KS-01 Kitty Short priced at $40 USD.
