Balenciaga is preparing for the colder months with the release of its 2026 Skiwear Collection, introducing a new selection of technical outerwear, winter accessories and footwear under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Available now, the collection sees the French fashion house apply its signature oversized proportions to a range of cold-weather essentials. Among the highlights are cropped puffer jackets, reversible blousons, high-neck parkas and insulated trousers, with technical fabrics including nylon and techno cotton providing protection against the elements.
While performance remains a key consideration, the collection also introduces a series of unconventional design details. For example, animal-inspired prints, faux-fur finishes and vibrant colour ways appear throughout, alongside reflective branding and custom zipper pulls.
Elsewhere, lined denim, tracksuits, knitwear and jersey pieces extend the offering beyond traditional ski apparel. Accessories receive similar attention, with several of Balenciaga's most recognisable handbags updated for winter. The Le City, Rodeo, Le 7 and Le City Backpack arrive in a selection of seasonal materials, including merino shearling, waxed suede and lambskin, with colours ranging from "Storm Grey" and "Polar Blue" to "Rose Quartz" and "Caramel."
Footwear is another focus, with the oversized Alaska Boots and Flatform Mules joining the winter-ready versions of the Combat Strike and Arctic silhouettes. Chunky soles, durable laces and insulated constructions feature throughout, while ski goggles, protective sunglasses, gloves and ear-flap caps round out the collection.
To accompany the release, Balenciaga has unveiled a campaign that brings alpine-inspired dressing into an unexpected setting, placing its winter wardrobe against Parisian interiors.
The Balenciaga 2026 Skiwear Collection is available now at select Balenciaga locations worldwide and online on the brand's official website.
