Tyler, The Creator is bringing his creative vision to the football pitch, teaming up with Spotify and FC Barcelona for a new GOLF WANG collaboration that combines football, fashion and music.
The three-way partnership sees Tyler take creative control of Barcelona's latest shirt takeover, marking the first time Spotify has handed an artist and their label complete creative freedom over one of its football collaborations.
At the centre of the release is a special edition FC Barcelona jersey, which replaces Spotify's usual front-of-shirt branding with GOLF WANG's logo. The design will make its official on-pitch debut when Barcelona's women's team wears it on October 24, before the men's side sports the shirt against Real Madrid in El Clásico on October 25.
Away from the pitch, the collaboration introduces an extensive clothing collection that reimagines traditional football apparel through GOLF WANG's design language. The range includes varsity-inspired letterman jackets, tracksuits, hoodies, football shorts and vintage-style jerseys, alongside graphic T-shirts featuring a standout "GOL!!F" design.
Accessories also feature heavily, with branded scarves, beanies, socks, footballs and water bottles completing the offering. The collection arrives in a mix of earthy browns, teal, burgundy and classic black-and-white colourways.
For collectors, just 1,899 special edition jerseys will be available, a nod to the year FC Barcelona was founded.
Tyler has directed an accompanying short film, while Spotify will celebrate the launch with its Copa De Golf event in Barcelona on October 24. The event will feature a headline DJ set from Yung Taco, with Bexnil, Alu Nuenga, Duna and Mushka also appearing on the lineup.
Meanwhile, football fans will be able to use the GOLF WANG-branded Barcelona kit in KONAMI's eFootball video game from October 23.
The Spotify x GOLF WANG x FC Barcelona collection launches October 15 through GOLF WANG's stores in London, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo and Sydney, alongside its online store and selected official FC Barcelona retailers across Spain.
