Football's biggest names descended on London last night as the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony took over the London Palladium, bringing together some of the game's most recognisable faces for an evening celebrating the very best in football.
It was a memorable night for Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane, who became the first Englishman to win the prestigious award since Michael Owen in 2001, beating Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal to the top spot. The Bayern Munich striker also picked up the Gerd Müller Trophy, while Alexia Putellas claimed her third Women's Ballon d'Or. Elsewhere, Yamal secured the Kopa Trophy for the third consecutive year, and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka was recognised with the Sócrates Award for his humanitarian work.
But while the evening was all about celebrating achievements on the pitch, there was plenty happening away from it, too. Swapping football shirts for designer tailoring, the sport's biggest stars brought their own interpretations of black-tie dressing to the red carpet. From custom Chanel and Dior to Wales Bonner and Zegna, football's relationship with fashion was on full display.
With that in mind, we've rounded up some of the best-dressed footballers from the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
Harry Kane
Harry Kane kept things classic for his big night, arriving in a tailored tuxedo from British menswear label Thom Sweeney. Featuring pointed lapels, satin-covered buttons and polished dress shoes, the England captain delivered a traditional black-tie look with plenty of attention to detail. Understated, sharp and perfectly suited to the occasion.
Kylian Mbappé
Kylian Mbappé kept things sophisticated in a black velvet tuxedo from Dior. Featuring a satin shawl lapel, the Real Madrid forward's look played with contrasting textures while maintaining a traditional black-tie silhouette. A Hublot watch completed the outfit, adding another luxury touch to an otherwise understated ensemble.
Ousmane Dembélé
Ousmane Dembélé stepped away from the usual black tuxedo, opting for a rich burgundy look from Zegna. The PSG forward embraced tonal dressing with a tailored ensemble that brought a welcome splash of colour to the red carpet. Finished with sunglasses, it was one of the evening's more distinctive approaches to formalwear.
Yan Diomandé
Yan Diomandé made a statement in Dolce & Gabbana, proving that the smallest details can transform a classic suit. Featuring decorative stitching along the lapels, pleated trousers and a gold brooch, the outfit introduced a more expressive approach to traditional tailoring without going overboard.
Lamine Yamal
Lamine Yamal brought some personality to the red carpet in a custom Chanel ensemble. The Barcelona star opted for a cropped black jacket and tailored trousers, with an oversized pink floral corsage stealing the spotlight. A playful take on traditional formalwear that stood out among the evening's more conventional suits.
Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka continued his relationship with contemporary fashion in a sharp Wales Bonner suit. Featuring a clean double-breasted silhouette and a distinctive brooch, the Arsenal winger's look brought together classic tailoring and subtle statement details. Simple, considered and one of the strongest outfits of the evening.
Johan Manzambi
Johan Manzambi opted for Saint Laurent, bringing a contemporary edge to the evening's formal dress code. Swapping the traditional tie for a gold chain, the Aston Villa midfielder paired his tailored suit with a matching brooch. It was a sharp, jewellery-led look that offered a refreshing alternative to classic black-tie styling.
