Slam Jam founder and renowned streetwear collector Luca Benini has announced that his archive will be open to the public to view for the first time.
The archive will consist of over 30,000 pieces which span almost 40 years worth of clothes, accessories and more. ‘Archivio Slam Jam’ is curated by Nationhood, a multidisciplinary studio founded by Achille Filipponi and Matteo Milaneschi. Benini, who founded Slam Jam in 1989, will make the archive publicly accessible, both physically at Ferrara HQ in Italy and online.
Visitors of the website will be able to scroll through endless amounts of archival pieces, from vintage Nike shoes to old school Supreme stickers. The website will see new content being published every month in a news feed-like format.
The first drop of the archive is now available to view on its own dedicated website.
