NEEDLES and STUDIOUS are adding another chapter to their ongoing collaborative relationship with a new seasonal capsule, bringing a pared-back take to two of NEEDLES’ most recognisable sportswear silhouettes.
For this release, Keizo Shimizu, the founder of Nepenthes, has revisited the brand’s Track Jacket and H.D. Track Pant, giving both styles a fresh construction through a specially developed polyester fabric. The material is designed to replicate the appearance and substantial feel of woven nylon, adding a more structured finish to the otherwise relaxed sportswear staples.
The capsule keeps the styling deliberately understated, with both pieces arriving in black and khaki. The familiar Papillon detailing remains central to the collection, while the restrained colour palette and technical fabrication give the duo a more refined edge.
The latest release follows previous NEEDLES and STUDIOUS collaborations, including a Western-influenced “Poly Double Cloth” collection and a Poly Smooth tracksuit. This latest offering continues the pair’s exploration of NEEDLES’ signature language through a more minimal seasonal lens.
The new NEEDLES x STUDIOUS pieces are available now through STUDIOUS’ online store, with the collection set to roll out across selected STUDIOUS stores in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
