Loewe SS27 rethinks the everyday wardrobe

Checkered blazers brought a more traditional starting point to the collection, but little stayed conventional for long.

Loewe continued to play with the familiar for Spring/Summer 2027, taking recognisable wardrobe staples and twisting them through unexpected proportions, fabric combinations and off-kilter styling on the Paris Fashion Week runway.

Checkered blazers brought a more traditional starting point to the collection, but little stayed conventional for long. Cropped leather jackets arrived with exaggerated flared shapes, while long trenches pushed in the opposite direction, creating dramatic silhouettes that moved away from the body. Hiking ropes and carabiners were worked into looks throughout, bringing an outdoors-inspired utility to pieces that otherwise felt polished and considered.

Jeans sat extremely low on the waist, with double-contrast constructions bringing leather into the equation and breaking up familiar blue denim. The combination gave everyday pieces a tougher edge, continuing the collection’s habit of placing contrasting materials and ideas alongside one another.

Floral dresses brought flashes of print and femininity, while exposed constructions revealed more of the body and played with the idea of clothes appearing partially undone. These pieces sat comfortably alongside the heavier leather, tailoring and utility details seen elsewhere.

Ties were tucked directly into shirts instead of being left hanging traditionally, subtly disrupting otherwise familiar tailoring and giving classic menswear codes a slightly awkward, intentional edge.

Tailoring met hiking hardware, leather collided with denim, oversized outerwear was countered by tightly cropped jackets, and traditional pieces were styled in ways that made them feel unfamiliar.
