Fenty Beauty could soon have a new co-owner, and it’s a familiar name in Rihanna’s world.

JAY-Z’s investment firm, MarcyPen Capital Partners, is reportedly close to buying LVMH’s 50 percent stake in the beauty brand. According to 'Puck', a deal could be signed within the next three to four weeks.

Right now, Fenty Beauty is split evenly between Rihanna and LVMH, with each owning 50 percent. If the deal goes through, Rihanna would keep her half, while MarcyPen would take over LVMH’s share.

How much that stake will cost hasn’t been revealed. Fenty Beauty has previously been valued at more than $2 billion USD, although more recent estimates have placed its value closer to $1 billion USD.

There’s already history between Rihanna and JAY-Z’s investment business, too. Marcy Venture Partners, which later became part of MarcyPen, previously invested in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty brand in 2019 and 2022.

Fenty Beauty launched in 2017 and quickly became one of the biggest celebrity beauty brands in the world. Its debut foundation arrived in 40 shades, helping push inclusivity to the forefront of the beauty industry.

If MarcyPen completes the deal, it would be the first major change to Fenty Beauty’s ownership since the brand launched nearly a decade ago, with Rihanna and MarcyPen becoming equal partners in the business.
