Happy Socks unveils its festive "The Happy Chalet" collection

With Christmas fast approaching, the Swedish label is putting its own colourful spin on the season.

Happy Socks is getting into the festive spirit with the launch of "The Happy Chalet," a new holiday collection that brings playful winter graphics, bold colours and a healthy dose of nostalgia to the brand's signature socks.

With Christmas fast approaching, the Swedish label is putting its own colourful spin on the season, introducing a series of designs featuring everything from Santa Claus and snowmen to penguins, Christmas trees and snow-covered villages. Staying true to its playful identity, the collection transforms everyday essentials into festive accessories that are anything but ordinary.

For Happy Socks, the campaign is about bringing a little more personality and human touch back into the festive season. Working alongside Italian creative studio Edith Di Monda and French photographer Alix Bortoli, the brand has created a playful world using handmade sets, painted backdrops and stop-motion animation. As Happy Socks puts it, “In a world full of synthetic perfection, there’s magic in visible textures, imperfect edges, and the human touch.” It's this appreciation for the little details that makes The Happy Chalet feel so personal, capturing the warmth, nostalgia and joy that comes with Christmas.

Across the campaign, skiers glide through textured mountain landscapes, snowmen appear against snowy backdrops and Santa makes his way across the night sky through paper stop-motion. The visuals embrace the charm of traditional craftsmanship, with imperfect details and visible textures forming part of the overall aesthetic.

The approach reflects the collection itself, which combines nostalgic seasonal imagery with the bright colours and graphic patterns that have become synonymous with Happy Socks since its launch in 2008.

At a time when digitally generated imagery is becoming increasingly common, The Happy Chalet offers something refreshingly different, celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and the beauty of making things by hand.

"The Happy Chalet" is part of Happy Socks' Holiday 2026 offering.
