Haider Ackermann takes Canada Goose beyond the mountains

Titled "Axis of Endurance," the latest collection sees the Creative Director continue to experiment with the Canadian brand's performance-driven identity.

Haider Ackermann is taking Canada Goose somewhere new for Fall/Winter 2026, introducing leather outerwear and footwear to the Snow Goose line for the first time.

Titled "Axis of Endurance," the latest collection sees the Creative Director continue to experiment with the Canadian brand's performance-driven identity, combining technical functionality with his own distinctive approach to silhouette, texture and colour.

This season, Ackermann turns his attention to endurance, exploring how clothing can offer protection while also expressing the physical and emotional demands of facing extreme environments. The collection looks at how people adapt to their surroundings, with outerwear taking on a more sculptural and expressive role.

Matte and glossy nylons are combined with virgin wool fleece and textured cotton, creating contrasts between technical fabrics and more tactile materials. An earthy colour palette provides the foundation, interrupted by bursts of Acid Orange, Flaming Rose and Goldenrod.

Among the biggest developments is the introduction of leather, which makes its Snow Goose debut through a reinterpretation of Canada Goose's signature Chilliwack Bomber. The familiar outerwear silhouette takes on a different character through the new material.

Footwear also enters the picture for the first time, with the introduction of the Rainboot. Elsewhere, the collection features pieces including the Ferron, Vega and Zion Trapper Hat, incorporating faux fur trims that add texture and volume while maintaining Canada Goose's fur-free approach.

The collection also introduces an "UNKNOWN" graphic, reflecting the themes of curiosity and exploration running through Ackermann's latest designs.

Accompanying the release is a campaign photographed by Julie Joubert, featuring Mariane Godoy, Samvel Tadevossian, Simon Franck, Marin Fournier, Eliot Cassignat and Cesar Salmon. The imagery takes a quieter approach, using stillness and atmosphere to communicate the collection's central ideas.

For Ackermann, the aim was to capture the feeling of endurance without making it overly literal, allowing the clothing and photography to communicate something beyond their practical purpose.

Snow Goose by Canada Goose FW26 launches exclusively online on October 8, before arriving at Canada Goose stores and selected retailers.
