South Korean cult eyewear brand, Gentle Monster is known for its cold eyewear collabs, linking up with brands like Maison Margiela and Moncler, and enlisted celebrities like BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim. From diamond-studded to sleek and futuristic, here’s our roundup of the most memorable Gentle Monster collaborations of all time.
Jennie Kim

For Jennie’s third link up with Gentle Monster, she launched the Jentle Salon eyewear range, a collection featuring shades adorned with cool charms in the shapes of stars, hearts, and capybaras.
Maison Margiela

Maison Margiela’s second collaboration with Gentle Monster dropped earlier this year and was curated by John Galliano himself. Blending the Parisian couture of Margiela’s brand with the Korean innovation of Gentle Monster, the collection spanned classic to more statement eyewear styles.
Mugler

Mugler’s collaboration with Gentle Monster pulled on the archives, transforming the geometric, futuristic style of Mugler’s designs into eyewear. In particular, the silhouettes took inspiration from Mugler’s 1997 Les Insectes couture collection.
Moncler

Back in 2021, Gentle Monster linked up with Moncler to collaborate in its annual Moncler Genius Project, releasing a selection of apparel and eyewear pieces. The collaboration pulled on Moncler’s signature aesthetic, getting the badge in at every opportunity.
Heron Preston

Heron Preston’s collaboration with Gentle Monster in 2021 had us keeping a level head, due to the spirit levels on the collection’s glasses arms. Inspired by the more subtle features of workwear.
Ambush

Gentle Monster and Ambush joined forces to drop the “ZIP TIE” collection, a selection of eye-shield style shades that were decorated with metal zip tie details. Built like visors, the collection pulled on Ambush’s practicality-meets-fashion aesthetic.
D’heygere

In 2023, D’heygere collaborated with Gentle Monster on a drop that was studded with diamonds. Using earring-style details to attach diamonds to the arms of the shades. Plus, the campaign went viral, shooting models falling over themselves in the collection.
Coperni

Gentle Monster teamed up with Coperni in 2022 for a collection that was inspired by the 5G technology. The futuristic shades nodded to The Matrix, Robocop, and Back to the Future in their style, and were even accompanied by an Augmented Reality Instagram filter at the time.
THUG CLUB

Last year, Gentle Monster dropped its “BOLD” collection in collaboration with THUG CLUB, a bug-eyed range of eyewear that pulled on the slightly curved goggle-style shades that are still growing in popularity.
