Why Entire Studios is GOATed: we linked up with the guys behind the cult brand

We linked up with Entire Studios’ Dylan Richards Diaz and Sebastian Hunt to talk about their cult unisex brand that prioritises quality and accessibility, without compromising hard designs.

Entire Studios is loved by fashion insiders because it doesn’t give a sh*t about the trend cycle. Instead, co-founders Dylan Richards Diaz and Sebastian Hunt have developed their unisex label with quality and accessibility in mind. Even though it’s known for logo-less and simple designs, you can instantly identify an Entire Studios piece just from the vibe alone.

Founded in 2020, Entire Studios is a brand that knows how to make good, everyday basics with silhouettes that just get the consumer. “We like to create pieces that are timeless,” Sebastian says. “Clothing you can wear every day but still feel special in. It’s minimalist with a purpose, where every piece has its place. I’d describe it as clean, relaxed, and gender-neutral.”

“Our mood boards look pretty all over the place until we start puzzling it all together,” Dylan says. “They’re a mix of references. At the moment, there’s a lot of what we’re calling ‘ugly chic’ – prints and colours from old furniture, wallpapers and carpets in ‘90s-era homes on Craigslist.”

Since launching, its distinctive aesthetic has built a cult following, having grown the brand to insider-status, collabing with Selfridges and Kylie Jenner’s Khy (the most recent capsule modelled by Kris Jenner). “Collaborating with Khy was such a natural fit,” Sebastian says. “We loved that Kris was part of the campaign, too. It was incredible to see her embrace the aesthetic so fully. She has such a strong presence.”

The New Zealand born-and-raised designer duo met aged 17, a friendship based on their mutual creative vision. They started out with DIY shoots, sharing their portfolio on IG and Tumblr, and in 2015 Ye reached out for them to ghost-style a Yeezy shoot. They spent five years at Yeezy, until dropping their own brand.

“Entire Studios was born out of a desire to create something that felt both personal and accessible,” Sebastian says. “We saw a gap in the market for unisex, high-quality fashion that felt inclusive and democratic – something that allowed everyone, regardless of gender or background, to experience well-designed, elevated clothing.”

While working in fashion Dylan and Sebastian felt the pressure to dress up and wear insidery pieces within the fashion industry, which wasn’t always attainable. “Coming from humble backgrounds growing up in New Zealand, we didn’t have the means to access the designer fashion we were inspired by and obsessed with – and later, working with in our styling jobs,” Dylan says.

They wanted to f*ck with that system, bc great quality and design should be accessible. “Entire was born to solve this problem for ourselves,” Dylan adds, “while at the same time giving other people like us access to the same quality and thoughtful designs as traditional luxury houses.”

And it’s loved by all fashion insiders: “When we started, we were just focused on building something true to ourselves,” says Sebastian. “So for it to connect with people whose work we respect and follow, people who work in the industry and love fashion as much as us, is really affirming. We’re very grateful.”

As for the future? “There’s so much more to come, we think of Entire as a whole lifestyle, we are only at the beginning,” Dylan says.
