If you’re into denim, you’ve definitely seen designs by Jaffa Saba. The London-based upcycler has been making a name for himself dropping DIY fashion pieces for years, and finally his functional, utilitarian style is getting the rep it deserves. Here’s why you need to get Jaffa Saba on your radar.

Jaffa Saba is a multi-disciplinary artist who’s made his name through unique partnerships and insane upcycled clothing drops. When he dropped out of school at 16, Saba discovered he had a talent for repairing clothes out of necessity. Like a true entrepreneur, he turned that into a craft that has fashion mfers hooked in 2024. He quickly gained a reputation for his designs, before going on to study under Saville Row Mentors, eventually becoming the youngest designer in Selfridges at age 18.

Back in 2019, Saba dipped a toe into denim with a variety of wild denim creations all in his unexpected, reconstructed style. Then in 2020, LA-based brand True Religion tapped Saba for bespoke couture denim collection. He even hosted a special denim showcase at London Fashion Week Mens in 2019 with retailer Edjer at the time, talking about why bringing new life to old garments is so important.

It’s that ethos that makes Jaffa Saba a creative you need to watch. His attitude to craft is outside the box, turning trash into treasure without a second thought. This is the kind of fashion design we need to see more of, and Jaffa Saba seems more than happy to bring it.
