Rockstar Games could be preparing for the biggest video game launch of all time, with new estimates suggesting that ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ has already generated approximately $751 million USD in digital pre-orders, weeks before its official release.

According to data from analytics company Sensor Tower, the highly anticipated title has secured an estimated 7.71 million pre-orders across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Demand has reportedly accelerated in recent weeks, with over $100 million USD in estimated sales generated during the last fortnight alone.

PlayStation is currently leading the charge, accounting for approximately 74% of all digital pre-orders. That translates to an estimated 5.74 million copies and $559 million USD in revenue, while Xbox represents the remaining 26%, with around 1.97 million copies and $192 million USD.

The figures place ‘GTA VI’ within touching distance of a record established by its predecessor in 2013. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ generated $800 million USD in its first 24 hours on sale, before surpassing the $1 billion USD mark just three days after release.

However, Sensor Tower's figures remain independent projections and have not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or parent company Take-Two Interactive. The estimates also exclude physical pre-orders, meaning the game's total advance sales could be higher.

With anticipation continuing to build, ‘GTA VI’ is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading expected to begin on November 10.
