It’s been a few days since our last A$AP Rocky trial update, but we got you. Today, after almost two weeks of trial, the prosecutors and the defense will present their final arguments for the jury. The jury will begin working on the verdict today.
A$AP Rocky is being tried for firing a gun at former mob member A$AP Relli in a 2021 incident in Hollywood. Rocky pleaded not guilty to the two felony counts of assault with a firearm – which could lead to 24 years in prison.
Relli claims Rocky shot at him, Rocky claims he used a prop gun and shot two warning shots during the square-up.
Rocky was set to take the stand on Tuesday, but he exercised his right to not testify.
Relli gave an inconsistent testimony of ever-changing details, but is certain that Rocky attacked him with a firearm. The defense witnesses, however, argued that Relli was actually the aggressor and Rocky shot with a “prop gun“ to stop Relli from throwing hands at A$AP Illz. The ”prop gun” has not been presented to the authorities, with witness Lou Levin stating that he got it for a music video and it went back to where he got it from.
Relli collected two bullet shells from the crime scene and presented them to court, however there’s no real evidence that they came from Rocky, or from the crime scene. Relli presented a picture he took of the bullets at the scene, but CCTV footage from the area does not show Relli there at the time he took the picture. He also testified that he was at a gun range in LA two weeks before the shooting.
Do you think Rocky will go prison?
