Amsterdam-based Daily Paper just launched a new project, arriving as an in-house live performance series featuring exclusive freestyle performances from iconic and emerging talents across the London boroughs.
With a talent roster made up of Ghetts, Enny, BDE x FLEX and Elheist, the new experience highlights creativity, community and heritage through a short film and opening narrative before an exclusive, live freestyle performance, purpose-made for the series by each artist. Daily Paper continues to cement itself into London’s youth culture, transcending clothing and becoming a figurehead for the youth across all genres – fashion, art, lifestyle goods and now music – in what is the ascension to becoming a multifaceted global powerhouse. The trailer comes as a teaser for what’s to come, with punchy sounds and trippy, choppy visuals and sweeping cinematic shots of the star-studded cast – we can’t wait to see what comes of this exciting project following on from their store opening in London.
The first iteration of Unite Sessions came from Ghetts, with the Plaistow MC talking on nostalgia and his upbringing in East London – the birthplace of grime music – before rifling off a freestyle, firing on full cylinders and performing with charisma as one would expect from the “Ghetto Gospel” rapper.
