Artist Olaolu Slawn is heading back to Rolex.

After making waves with his first Rolex project last year, which saw the British-Nigerian artist transform the iconic timepiece through his unmistakable hand-painted approach in a campaign fronted by UK rapper Dave, Slawn has continued to cement himself as one of the most sought-after collaborators in contemporary culture.

Alongside exhibitions across the globe, Slawn has partnered with brands spanning fashion, sport and design, while his bold, graffiti-inspired visual language has become instantly recognisable across everything from apparel (including a recent"Slirkin" collab) to collectible objects.

Now, Slawn is expanding his relationship with Rolex once again. Last night, the artist unveiled "The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse," a new project centred around 12 one-of-one Rolex watches, each created in collaboration with a different cultural figure. The video teaser, shot through the lens of Slawn's webcam, introduces a heavyweight cast of collaborators, including Clint419, Mario Balotelli, Gunna, Ronaldinho and Gabriel Moses, with more names expected to be revealed as the project unfolds.

While details remain tightly under wraps, the announcement confirms that all 12 unique watches will arrive at some point during August, with each collaborator putting their own spin on Slawn's distinctive creative universe.

Judging by the calibre of names already attached, "The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse" looks set to be the artist's most ambitious crossover yet, bringing together football, music, fashion and art under one project while continuing to blur the line between collectible timepieces and contemporary culture.
