Frank Ocean really is “Biking”

Is Frank Ocean dropping a new album? Sadly, we can't answer that, but he was pictured in the studio earlier this week with a guitar, so we can only hope. While we wait for what could be the most anticipated album of the last ten years, we thought we'd take a moment to admire Frank's solid rotation of bikes and the fits he wears while he's riding them.

What are you doing with your time if you're not making banger-packed albums like Channel Orange and Blonde? If you're Frank Ocean, you're "Biking" around NYC on a super sick e-bike wearing even cooler clobber while launching a luxury jewellery company called Homer.

Three years ago, Frank was tapped, putting in the miles in the Big Apple, riding fashion's favourite e-bike, the Van Moof S3, with a frame-mounted power bank. The matt-black bike featured Van Moof's trademark exaggerated, rounded frame, which looks like an art piece you can ride. Frank donned a pair of Off-White x Nike Dunk lows, beige cargos and a fitted tee, and as far as biking fits go, this was up there with the best.

When Frank's on the West Coast, you might spot him two-wheeling with Tyler, the Creator, on an SE Bikes Big Ripper. Those pics of Frank and Tyler cruising down the street together take us back to Tyler's peak Odd Future era, where BMX bikes were his chosen method of transport. Also, if you’re into your watches, Frank was sporting a Richard Mille, serving up a time-telling stunt with both wheels still on the ground.

When it comes to bikes, just like his cars (remember those Tumblr-era pics with the retro BMW M3), Frank likes to keep things vintage. He's been spotted riding an immaculate Klein Vintage MTB on the streets and subways of NYC, bringing some 90s pedal power to the present day.

Given Frank's love of cars and bikes, it makes sense that they came together at some point. Earlier this year, Frank was spotted riding an n+ Mercedes Benz EQ Formula E Team Silver Arrows eBike, which you can have too if you've got a spare $4,500. With its slick silver colourway, dual battery, and lightweight aluminium frame, Frank can outrun any album-related questions and look good doing it.
