WHAT THE TEAM LISTENED TO IN MARCH
Headphones in, world out. After an extended break, we’re back with another staff playlist. Maybe we were jaded from the Christmas-themed extravaganza of the last one, or maybe (and more likely) it seems that 2022 has flown by without hitting pause. Now things have chilled out a little, and with a wealth of new releases (and a couple new team members), we thought it was high time to gather our favourite tunes again. This month, we have top tunes from rising mega-star Jnr Choi, along with jazz infused beats by Ezra Collective. The Spotify track-list features an array of old and new, chill and upbeat, and ranging from McCartney to Sneakbo. Scroll to tune in.
LAURA
C’EST LA VIE – JNR CHOI
From modelling to musician, Jnr Choi is always one step ahead and always knows how to hit the right note. From a song that became a viral TikTok moment to his album SS21 – this song is just an all year round vibe. Love it or hate it – the Brit rapper is just fire. C’est La vie.

WILD LIFE – PAUL MCCARTNEY & WINGS
It’s safe to say Beatlemania hit me hard around a year ago, and I have since delved deep into the solo expeditions of the Fab Four. My track this month comes from Wings’ first LP Wild Life (the band Paul formed after the Beatles disbanded). Paul wrote the song walking through a nature reserve whilst taking a break from recording in Lagos. This track is up there with one of my favourite Macca tracks, not only does he show off his vocal ability like never before, but he does so with a poignant message in mind.
STELLA
PAPI BONES – FKA TWIGS
This is undeniably the best track from Caprisongs imo. The perfect tune to get you hyped up to go out, feel powerful when strolling down the street, or lift you out of a bad mood. Linking up with another amazing artist, Shygirl, this was on repeat in March. FKA Twigs supremacy.

CHRIS
MORE THAN A HUSTLER – EZRA COLLECTIVE
Ezra Collective are unquestionably our underground music ambassadors in the world of British Jazz. Their consistent ability to seek sought after and unimagined collaborations from the very best of UK hip-hop and Grime has enabled their music to bounce between garage raves and smoke soaked jazz clubs since they first emerged back in 2016. ‘More Than Hustler’ is yet another reminder that the group knows exactly what we want to hear as they enlist the help of Novelist for another wheel-worthy riddim.
SANDY
MONA LISA – LOJAY & SARZ
There’s no better way of stepping into summer than with afrobeats, so whether you’re doing baecation or just vibing alone in your room this is a song to get you moving, grooving and ready for the day/night!

KEALY
BENDER++GIRLFRIEND – YUNG LEAN
The first time I heard bender++girlfriend I was in the back of a car with like six homies driving to Mcdonald’s late one night. I remember closing my eyes, putting my head back and letting the song entirely encapsule my existence for its duration. That was four years ago, and still every time I play this song it feels like it’s the first time all over again.
