A$AP Rocky is a rapper, singer, producer, and father, but did you know he was also a runner? Spotted in Paris shooting the music video for his upcoming album “Don’t Be Dumb”, we reposted the video of A$AP Rocky running in Timbs to our TikTok which got over 800k views and had our community impressed with Rocky’s speed.
Obviously, the community came through with the puns. @awgesht400 said “bro wants to reach ASAP” and @d.tt12 commented that Rocky “took the ASAP in his name seriously”. Joining in on the joke is @lu.bonyongo calling him “Asap Bolt”. He was running so fast, the cameraman was actually struggling to keep up.
Not only was Rocky running at an athlete’s speed, but he was running wearing Timberlands, which is all the more impressive. @__brainflower commented “this man is so talented he can run in Timbs” and @juannarpi added “The most ny thing you’ll see, asap sprinting in timbs”. Rocky really does it all.
It wasn’t just the footwear that got people talking though. A$AP Rocky’s jeans were also a topic to dissect, considering they were falling off midway almost to a point where he shouldn’t have been able to continue running – but he did. Finding a solution for him is @jfs.kjub who said “travis would use a belt for this”, referencing the iconic Nardwar interview.
While it was just a video of the rapper running across a Parisian street, the accidental promotional video did the job. With commenters like @tenxin1231 saying “I know [this video is gonna be fire” and @mr.mojorisin10 stating “i’m so hype for this album it’s going to be album of the year”.
Although sprinting in Timbs is an acquired skill, it seems as though promoting a project has never been easier – or is that just because it’s A$AP Rocky?
