BEYONCÉ BREAKS GRAMMYS RECORD

This weekend saw the 65th edition of the Grammy Awards in which Harry Styles won album of the year and Beyoncé became the highest-achieving artist with her 32nd award. Other highlights include performances by Steve Lacy, Mary J. Blige and JAY-Z which we covered on TikTok.

KERING LAUNCHES BEAUTÉ 

The luxury fashion conglomerate is making big moves. Led by former Estée Lauder executive Raffaella Cornaggia, Kering Beauté will see its brands, including Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and more, take on the beauty sphere. A strategic move from Kering, the new division will take time to actually come into place, as some of its brands still have cosmetic and fragrance licences with Coty.

DANIEL ARSHAM’S ERODED CARS ARE GOING TO L.A.

The American artist famed for his eroded sculptures will see his cars make a pit stop at L.A.’s Peterson Automotive Museum. Some of the pieces included in this exhibition are the 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster, the 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback and the 2022 Porsche 911, which will be opening its doors on February 25.

T MINUS 4 DAYS UNTIL NYFW

Fashion fanatics worldwide are biting their nails in anticipation of NYFW, starting on February 10th, which will commence the RTW FW23. Some of the first shows we will get to see include Rodarte and Dion Lee. If the men’s season was anything to go off of, the women’s RTW week is sure to be filled with talent and surprises like no other.

CELINE IS SET TO TAKE OVER PARIS’S LE PALACE FOR ITS MEN’S FW23 SHOW

Party-boy Hedi Slimane turns to one of his frequent go-to places for clubbing, Le Palace, to showcase CELINE’s Men’s FW23 show. Originally a dance hall, the theatre space quickly gained notoriety in the 70s, often being dubbed as Paris’ own Studio 54. With the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Prince, Grace Jones, Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger and many others having attended the club, the FW23 show is set to become one for the history books.

BRAINDEAD X RAPHA COLLABORATE

In an effort to create “extreme gear for quality people”, the two brands have teamed up to create a capsule collection which includes a lightweight jacket made out of windproof nylon and finished off with durable water resistance, cycling pants and a biking shirt, all made with technologies aimed at the wearer’s comfort. The Braindead x Rapha collection will be made available on February 7 online as well as in select stores.

DANIEL LEE RELEASES HIS FIRST CAMPAIGN FOR BURBERRY

The newly appointed creative director has offered us a first glance at his vision for Burberry. In a campaign that has enlisted talents such as Shygirl, Skepta, Lennon Gallagher and more, as well as a new logo for the brand, Lee’s intentions seem to lie in refreshing the British luxury brand in a move set to attract a younger audience.

PAMELA ANDERSON RECLAIMS HER STORY

Pamela Anderson has made it clear she did not consent to Disney+’s “Pam & Tommy”, the miniseries which recounts the story of the Baywatch actress and Mötley Crüe’s drummer’s love story and sex tape scandal. Soon after, Anderson struck a deal with Netflix. The new documentary titled “Pamela, a love story”, which has just been released, follows Anderson as she recalls some of her life’s big events in her own words.

JOAN DIDION’S UPPER EAST SIDE APARTMENT IS UP FOR SALE

The late American author’s Manhattan estate has quietly entered the market for $7.5 million. Following last year’s frenzied auction where Didion’s Céline sunglasses were purchased for $27,000, the four-bedroom apartment in which The Year Of Magical Thinking was created has been listed by Sotheby’s International Realty.

THE KATE MOSS BIOPIC IS ON ITS WAY

The highly anticipated film “Moss & Freud”, which was announced in May 2022, has just picked its star actress. “The Serpent” star Ellie Bamber was chosen to play the supermodel, a decision that was made with Kate Moss’s approval. While no release date has yet to be announced, shooting is set to commence this year, meaning we could expect the film to make its debut as of 2024.

WANT TO MAKE POTTERY WITH SETH ROGEN?

The famed actor and founder of Houseplant, the ceramics company aimed at cannabis smokers, has opened up the doors to his Hollywood Hills mansion and home to his ceramic studios in a partnership with Airbnb. For just $42, guests are able to book a one-night stay at the home as well as attend a pottery class hosted by Rogen. Bookings, which will unfortunately only be open to US citizens, will open on February 7 at 10AM on a first-come first-served basis.
