The British heritage brand Burberry introduced its city-specific special project titled Burberry Streets earlier this year, with a debut in London that was hosted by the cult-favourite Norman’s Café. After hitting up Seoul, Burberry Streets brings its signature check to Shanghai.
Burberry Rose, this latest instalment in the Burberry Streets series, sees the British brand open a Norman’s pop-up in the Chinese city, serving up some good ol’ hash browns and sausages to visitors.
This city takeover will also include immersive installations, one of which will be the Petal Maze. The dizzying labyrinth will challenge visitors as they travel through the English rose-inspired walls, a motif Creative Director Daniel Lee has used throughout his collections.
The Shanghai city-stop will also see Burberry’s codes, symboles, logos, motifs and images of its Winter 2023 campaign scattered throughout the city, notably on the main Panyu Road. Bus stops, buses and billboards will be covered in Daniel Lee’s English rose motif, adding some much-needed natural elements during winter time.
Burberry Rose will run in Shanghai between October 21 and December 31.
