Bottega Veneta is releasing its Winter 2023 fanzine on September 7, in line with the new collection’s in-store launch. This is the third edition of the fanzines since creative director Matthieu Blazy’s Winter 22 foundation collection.

Serving as a coffee table book and a fashion grail, these fanzine-style books retrace the steps it took to create Bottega Veneta’s collections. This edition features cultural and visual references that were used as an inspiration point for FW23, which includes sketches, BTS images and campaign outtakes. The fanzine spans across four different volumes found in a slipcase with the Stracciatella-esque print that was found on the runway show’s flooring.

The stack of books offer a deep dive into the house’s codes and its ways of operating, highlighting the traditional and innovative Italian craftsmanship and the diverse characters it took to make the collection. Because it’s Bottega Veneta, the Winter 2023 fanzine will also be spotlighting its signature Intrecciato weaving technique, though in an unexpected way, giving it a new life.

In addition to Bottega Veneta’s own work, the fanzine also includes sketches commissioned by Blazy and drawn by the British-Cypriot designer Hussein Chalayan, as well as some of his original work. Behind-the-scenes images of the brand’s pop-up exhibition “Vieni a Vedere” created with artist Gaetano Pesce will also appear across the zine’s pages.

Make sure to hit up your local Bottega Veneta store to get your hands on a copy.
