Bottega Veneta is opening its latest Milan store today in the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery in the heart of the city, between Duomo and world-renowned Teatro Alla Scala.

Designed by Matthieu Blazy, it spans two stories and is crafted from three essential elements: glass, Italian walnut wood, and green Verde Saint Denis marble. This luxury combination evolves on the House’s Avenue Montaigne flagship in Paris, which was revealed last year.

Blazy wished to express different experiences of space within the store, inviting clients into his carefully curated world of Bottega Veneta. In a statement, the French designer shared his approach to designing the store: “I wanted to express the idea of a domestic interior referring to Italian modernist architecture that contrasts with the aesthetic of a spaceship. And to capture the intimacy and the imagination of getting dressed.” This approach exemplifies an innovation that extends into the brand’s brick-and-mortar spaces, something which feels on-brand for Bottega Veneta, a Maison focused on quality and innovation to create long-lasting, thoughtful pieces.

Three key looks from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection will launch exclusively at the store, including Kalimero Cha Cha and Città bags in signature Intrecciato and the Cha Cha shoe to celebrate the opening. The Galleria space will also sell a limited edition of five unique Kalimero Città in Python and 15 ceramic handle Sardine bags numbered with an interior brass plate.

Bottega Veneta’s latest store location in the centre of Milan’s shopping district cements its status as a pillar of luxury, known for its delicate balance of strength and beauty across its leather goods and ready-to-wear clothing.
