In the wake of fashion month, Milan is gearing up to host the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile, the world’s largest design fair. From April 7 to 13, the city will be flooded with architects, artists, designers and culture-obsessives all keen to take in opulent new interior trends, avant-garde takes on the future of living, and ofc, parties. The Miu Miu Literary Club
One of the biggest events on the calendar is the Miu Miu Literary Club, which will be dedicated to the OG of gender studies Simone de Beauvoir and Japanese Shöwa era author Fumiko Enchi, whose writing will be used to explore girlhood, love and sex education via talks and avant-garde performances.
The ‘club’ will take place at the Circolo Filologico Milanese, from April 9 to 10
Samuel Ross’s Whiskey installation
Samuel Ross and his design studio SR_A joined forces with whisky distillery The Balvenie to put together an immersive installation called Transposition, which explores the future of the hospitality industry.
The installation will take place at the Historic Foundry Isola District, Via Genova Thaon di Revel 21, April 8 to 11
The Prada Frames Symposium
The Prada Frames Symposium—curated by design studio Formafantasma—will explore the relationship between design, mobility, and the environment.
Padiglione Reale and Arlecchino Train at the Milan Central Station, April 6 to 8
Loewe’s Teapot exhibit
Loewe will host an exhibition of unique teapots designed by 25 prominent artists, designers, and architects, including British artist Rose Wylie and Korean artist Jane Yang-D’Haene.
Palazzo Citterio near the city’s Sforzesco Castle from April 7th to 13th.
Stone Island Sound’s Friendly Pressure: Studio One
London-based bespoke sound system studio Friendly Pressure has designed and built a custom hi-fi audio system for Stone Island Sound, an ongoing music project by the fashion brand.
The installation will be From April 7th to April 13th, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Capsule Plaza, Via Achille Maiocchi 7, Milan.
Fendi Casa
Fendi will showcase its latest Fendi Casa collection, designs created to showcase the house’s heritage and vision.
The collection can be viewed between 7-13 April, with a preview on April 6th
Gucci presents Gucci | Bamboo Encounters
Gucci’s exhibit will celebrate the legacy of bamboo in design history and its role in the house’s identity. Curated and designed by 2050+ and its founder Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, it will feature the work of a host of contemporary international designers.
The exhibition will run from April 8th to April 13th at the Chiostri Di San Simplicano in Milan, from April 8 - 13th
Loro Piana and Dimoremilano debut La Prima Notte di Quiete
Clothing brand Loro Piana joins forces with architecture and design studio Dimoremilano on an immersive installation exploring the relationship between imagination and reality. A selection of Loro Piana furniture, designed by Dimoremilano will be showcased alongside new pieces by Dimoremilano, upholstered in Loro Piana Interiors fabrics.
The installation will take place at Dove Loro Piana - Cortile della Seta — Via della Moscova, 33, Milano from 7-13 April.
Diesel living makes its return
Diesel will be hosting an immersive lifestyle experience at the Diesel Milan San Babila pop-up space, in collaboration with Lodes and Moroso. A selection of Loro Piana furniture, designed by Dimoremilano will be showcased alongside new pieces by Dimoremilano, upholstered in Loro Piana Interiors fabrics.
The experience will take place daily from APRIL 7TH - 16TH from 11 am to 7.30 pm at the Diesel pop-up space Milano, Piazza San Bablia ⅓
Hermes presents its new homeware collection
Little has been revealed about Hermes’s offering at Milan Design Week, but we do know the house is set to present its new homeware line, which will undoubtedly be opulent AF.
The line can be viewed at La Pelota, via Palermo 10, Milan Wednesday 9 April, from 10 am to 5 pm.
