After a brief hiatus, Summer has returned (at least for now), so get off the sofa and head out the house. It’s a big week for music, with Madonna giving the world what it needs and performing at Madison Square Garden and Drake teaming-up with 21 Savage in LA. Noir Fever brings the noise to Somerset House 

UK electronic artist Aluna brings Noir Fever to Somerset House, serving as a love letter to the black and queer roots of dance music. From house to UK garage, UK funky, Dancehall and Afrobeats, all bases are covered. Aluna will be performing alongside Conducta, TashLC and Moodz, to bring the good vibes to the riverside on August 18.

London calling honours the 70s skate rats who built the scene 

A tribute to the skaters of the 70s who laid the four wheeled foundations of a scene rivalled only by california? We’re down, and you should be too. Presented by Steve Douglas, Don Brown, Bod Doyle and Dan Adams, this four-day celebration of skateboarding is not one to be missed. Highlights include an opening exhibition at Pure Evil Gallery in Shoreditch on August 17 and a Southbank 10 anniversary reunion. Head to the London Calling website for more information.

Civilization at the Saatchi Gallery

As part of this landmark exhibition, the work of 150 photographers has been chosen to track  the visual threads of humanity’s changing and complex life. Civilization, The Way We Live Now, looks at the diverse material and spiritual cultures that make up global societies. Curated by William A Ewing and Holly Roussell Perret-Gentil, the exhibition forms part of a journey through eight thematic chapters. This one is available until September 17 at the Saatchi Gallery, so head down while you can.

Drake and 21 Savage’s LA link-up

Drake and 21 Savage are giving fans a stateside link-up in the City of Angels, but the real question is; who wants to be British more? Jokes aside, the LA leg of the hip-hop duo’s ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour is bound to be a solid night out. Who knows, you might even get some tea on Drizzy’s new album.  Drake and 21 Savage will be performing at LA’s Arena on Monday August 21.
