We’ve rounded up the events, exhibitions, festivals, and parties that you’ll want to be on the guest list for this week, from Y/Project’s Parisian archive sale and Marni’s pop-up in Bicester Village to GUESS USA’s Shoreditch store opening. Keep reading to find out where you should be this week.

Balenciaga’s opened its first ever standalone store

Yesterday, Balenciaga welcomed its cult following of Erewhon shopping, duct-tape wearing, Kim K loving fans to shop Balenciaga ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories in its first standalone store in Chicago, Illinois. Utilising the raw, brutalist architecture that Demna’s aesthetic is recognised as, the store features vast concrete floors, cement board panelled walls, and large-scale luminous ceilings. You can hit up Balenciaga’s new store in Chicago from today.

The Cannes Film Festival is well underway

In case you hadn’t noticed, the Cannes Film Festival kicked off last week, inviting the world’s most acclaimed actors, directors, and celebrities to the French city to view 2024’s offering of films, television, and documentaries. With some cult-classics no doubt being revealed in Cannes, from movies like Metropolis and A24’s Parthenope, all eyes have been on Cannes this past week. Y/Project’s hitting up Paris for an archive sale

Y/Project is throwing an archive sale in Paris, giving you the chance to get some past season goodies just in time for summer. It’s being held at 14 Rue D’uzes, 75002 – Paris on May 24 and May 25, so don’t say we didn’t warn you. Oh, and don’t wear your own Y/Project clobber, otherwise it’ll get confusing. Be there or be square. 

SKIMS arrives in London at END.

Kim Kardashian’s elevated underwear and apparel brand, SKIMS has arrived in London for the in-store release of its long-awaited menswear drop. Hitting up END.’s flagship store, SKIMS’s hosted a takeover last night to celebrate the international launch of its best-selling underwear and foundations at END. Head down to the store now to shop SKIMS’ Menswear range at END.

A mini Marni Market is opening in Bicester Village

Marni is hitting up the UK’s most loved luxury shopping destination, Bicester Village, for a “Marni Market” pop-up arriving just in time for the summer. With ready-to-wear and accessories available to shop both in Marni’s existing permanent store in the Village and at the “Marni Market” pop-up now too, your shopping needs are sure to be exceeded. So, get down Marni Market in Bicester Village to shop the brand’s summer range.

Manifest summer vibes at 12th Knot

Hopefully the sun comes back out for this bank holiday weekend, because 12th Knot – the iconic rooftop bar serving summer vibes – is hosting a series of day-to-night summer parties kicking off with the first one this May 25th. Inviting DJs Kojay and Midnight Runner to play some summery beats, the event kicks off at 2pm and wraps up at 12am. Head to this link for more info. 

Head to Milan to be immersed in art & design

Milan is getting cultural with its newly opened retrospective exhibitions at Triennale Milano. Last week, Triennale opened a “Roberto Sambonet: The Theory of Form” exhibition, delving into the artist’s life and work, and from today it will also introduce “Gae Aulenti,” the first exhibition dedicated to her illustrious six decades of contribution to international design. GUESS USA and htown Store are bringing a slice of Americana to Shoreditch with a month-long pop-up for Spring/Summer 2024. The store is GUESS USA’s first IRL activation in London, in-keeping with Eli Russel Linetz visual design language and Nicolai Marciano’s creative direction. Inside, you’ll get a load of distressed leathers, unhemmed vests, bell-bottom jeans, and trucker jackets from the SS24 collection. If you like what you hear, the pop-up is live from until June 16 at 150 Shoreditch High Street. 

Get down to GALA Festival

If you live in London, the chances are, you or your mates have been, or know someone going to GALA. The independent music festival brings a belting line-up of dane tunes to South London’s Peckham Rye park each year, marking the start of London Summer for many. From Friday 25-Sunday 27 May, you can expect sets from Shy One, Benji B & Judah, Nightmares On Wax, Chaos in the CBD, Joy Orbison, Goya Gumbani, Moxie and Bradley Zero and loads more. Try and grab a last minute ticket if you haven’t already. It’ll be a good one. 

Crepe City Returning to the Big Smoke 

Crepe City is Europe’s biggest sneaker festival returning to London on June 2. Boxpark will be stacked with shoeboxes (and shoes of course), marking 15 years of the Crepe City brand, which blossomed from basement beginnings to full on sneaker convention blockbuster. There’ll be loads to get stuck into, including live Whatnot sneaker auctions, and on stage talks with the event’s official on-stage partner, The Sole Supplier. Grab your tickets here
