The pattern-heavy collection features an array of genderless football jerseys, sweatpants, hoodies and jackets sporting a tie-dye and paint-splatter effect. The jerseys, both long sleeve and short sleeve, are available in a pink, red, blue and monochrome colourway. Priced between £100 and £275, the capsule blends Aries’ comfort and nylon-printed graphic filled aesthetic with Umbro’s practicality, creating your next football-match-watching look.
Lea Colombo, known for her vibrant colours and effects, shot the latest campaign in her usual style. Intimate close ups and rave-like editing, the campaign was inspired by “gabber-rave-football culture”.
Founder of Aries Sofia Prantera speaks on the collection, “Playing amateur football was off limits during lockdown, so we started playing football with our dogs instead. While researching the creative with Lea we found amazing footage of known footballers like Messi training with their dogs. This combined with the beautiful work of Dutch artist Rineke Dijkstra became the inspiration for the project”.
The Aries x Umbro capsule will be made available on June 22, just in time for the Euro 2020’s next round.
