Apple Wonderlust is the most anticipated tech event of the year. The event is taking place today at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. BST at the tech giant’s Apple Park HQ in Cupertino, California, and it promises to be one of the most exciting Apple announcements in quite some time. All the usual updates will come from Apple’s CEO Tim Cook and his surrounding team, in turn introducing products like the Apple iPhone 15 range (pulling notable focus to the iPhone 15 Pro Max), and its latest iOS 17 operating system.
The iPhone 15 series is rumoured to be fitted with USB-C charging, found across the entire range – iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, and the Pro and Pro Max offerings. The former two will take after the iPhone 14 Pro range’s Dynamic Island and will now come with a 48 megapixel camera set-up on the rear.
According to Bloomberg, bigger updates will come to the Pro range. We are expected to find the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max in titanium, rather than stainless steel like their standard counterparts, while rumours are suggesting that the rear camera could come with up to 6x optical telephoto zoom.
Aside from the iPhone updates, the Wonderlust event will also bring the Apple Watch Series 9, the new Apple Watch Ultra – dubbed by the conglomerate as “the ultimate sports watch” – and of course, the aforementioned iOS 17.
Per reports, iOS 17 is expected to be launched on September 18, 2023. It is rumoured to come with contact posters, allowing you to determine how you are depicted on another’s phone contact screen, live voicemails (home telephones, anyone?), and more.
Stay tuned to find out more about the official releases. You can stream Apple Wonderlust via Apple’s website.
