Amelia Gray has come a long way from her Bravo bygones. Daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and Golden Globe nominated actor Harry Hamlin, some might say that the 21 year old was born to make a social scene splash.
And they may be right – for budding model and social media star, Gray (who has since dropped the ‘Hamlin’ from her public name in favour of a snappier moniker) her alternative new look has certainly caught the attention of the fashion industry. This year alone she has honed a burgeoning runway career, walking in shows for Diesel, Richard Quinn and that viral Dilara Findikoglu presentation that featured “no music, just vibes”. Queue shuffle noises.

Gray’s subtle rise to A-List spheres was arguably kick-started back in 2020 when news broke that she had begun dating socialite and controversial Kardashian baby-daddy Scott Disick at the tender age of 19 – sparking debate around their 18 year age gap. Understandably, the tabloids had a field day. Since then however, the now-21 year old has started afresh – her relationship with Disick ended back in 2021, with the break up provoking what could only be described as a catalyst for the beginning of a new life. With a move to New York (and a set of freshly bleached brows) Amelia Gray-Hamlin the ‘nepo-baby’ was reborn as Amelia Gray, the model in her own right.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen the offspring of Housewives of Beverly Hills alumni make their own mark in the fashion industry. Heard of the surname Hadid, by any chance? Household supermodels, worldwide brand ambassadors and fashion world darlings Gigi and Bella’s mother Yolanda was a key member of the infamous reality show, and have since forged monumental careers of their own. With brands starting to clock on to the rise of so called ‘nepotism-babies’ – a category of which boasts Zoe Kravitz, Lily Rose Depp and Iris Law (to name a few) and a phenomenon which has taken Gen Z social media by storm – Gray’s career has flourished in leaps and bounds over the past year.

So, what’s next for the rising star? Speaking in a recent interview with W Magazine, the young model gushed of her settled status in New York City, detailing a fateful night at a friend’s apartment where they sat for hours meditating, manifesting and collaging a ‘dream board’ which encapsulated the future that she had dreamt for herself. “I know it sounds hoo-ha witchy” she said, “but I really believe in the power of positive thinking.”
Now boasting brands such as Jacquemus, Versace and Michael Kors within her roster of brand relationships, the young model’s journey does indeed feel reminiscent of the early careers of reality-tv prodigies Gigi and Bella. And perhaps, being born into the right family, having the right connections and simply growing up lucky has helped Gray forge her present. But as her future stands, it’s safe to say that Amelia Gray is planning on paving the way for herself this time.
