Wales Bonner has launched its Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, Marathon, which highlights the strength and resilience of long-distance running. World Champion runners Tamirat Tola and Yomif Kejelcha serve as this collection’s muses and are photographed in Wales Bonner’s latest tailoring, ready-to-wear, and footwear offerings.
The campaign is shot in Paris by Malick Bodian and showcases a bespoke horsehair canvas suit and Marvel Jacket in sheepskin suede and studded leather worn by Kejelcha. Tola can be seen donning the Eternity Denim Jacket and Trousers detailed with artisanal Ethiopian Tibeb fabric.
Bodian captures the versatility of Wales Bonner’s latest collection in both day and night, where considered tailoring meets denim and sports-inspired silver footwear. Later campaign shots showcase shimmering running style above-the-knee shorts, worn with a tailored jacket complete with studded detailing worn clutched across its wearer’s chest, where menswear staples assume the role of a post-race foil blanket. Wales Bonner’s considered approach is juxtaposed with the fast pace of Parisian life, where relaxed-fitting linen tailoring contrasts with the moving backdrop of the city streets.
The Marathon campaign follows the Wales Bonner SS24 show, which also saw Kejelcha and Tola grace the catwalk. As part of the spectacle, the London-based label wanted to shine a light on the “reflections of the long-distance runner: the silent messenger, the unwavering spirit striding, soaring.” This approach aligns with the brand’s balanced blend of sportswear and luxury tailoring that has captivated fashion fans the world over.
The Wales Bonner SS24 collection will be available to shop via the Wales Bonner online store.
