Times art made a cameo in music videos

Music videos might not always give "art," but when they do they seriously commit. We rounded up some of the most GOATed music videos that make obvious references to history's best artworks, from Ye's "Famous" referencing Vincent Desiderio’s painting “Sleep” to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's "Apesh*t" which features multiple different pieces.

To give credit where it's due, you've gotta know that most of the visuals in music videos are usually down to the art directors and cinematographers rather than the music artists themselves, so respect to the names behind these videos - they know their sh*t when it comes to art history. That doesn't mean Kendrick Lamar didn't approve the decision to put da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” in his “Humble” music video though, and we're sure af glad he did.

Hit the link below to see some of our favourite references to art in music videos, and where they came from. Did we miss any?
