For the first time in 55 years, England has qualified for a finals birth in a major international competition. The historic 2-1 victory against Denmark at Wembley secured England’s place in the final versus Italy this Sunday. After receiving much criticism for his performance thus far in this year’s competition, it was England captain Harry Kane that sent his country to the finals with a last-minute rebound penalty in the first half of extra time.

TBILISI PRIDE MARCH CANCELLED AFTER FAR-RIGHT ATTACK IN GEORGIA
LGBTQ activists were forced to cancel a planned five-day long gay rights event and protest in Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi. Following attacks on over 20 journalists and activists, the event organisers were forced to cancel the protest stating, ‘We cannot risk human lives and take to the streets, which are full of violent attackers’. The group later condemned the actions of local police stating not only did they fail to protect the protestors but also actively hampered their rights to free speech and assembly.

MIGRANT GIRLS FACED ‘ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION’ IN BIDEN BORDER SHELTER
Reports of a worrying amount of bizarre occurrences in a temporary migrant housing ‘warehouse’ in Houston have raised questions about the safety of the facility. During a 16 day period, a number of unexplained incidents occurred such as the death of a federal employee, a bomb scare and the ‘attempted kidnapping’ of a group of Guatemalan girls. Whilst at this time reports are still fuzzy, authorities stated: “We have enough details to know something very frightening and inappropriate happened at that facility.”

52 PEOPLE PRESUMED DEAD IN MASSIVE FACTORY FIRE IN BANGLADESH
A massive fire has broken out at a food and beverage processing plant in Rupganj, an industrial town 25km east of the capital Dhaka. The total death toll is unknown as rescue efforts are unable to proceed until the blaze is further under control.
US ARMY ABANDON BAGRAM AIRBASE WITHOUT INFORMING AFGAN OFFICIALS
On July 5th, Afgan forces awoke to the news that Bagram air base, the anchor for all Western operations in Afghanistan, had been totally abandoned by US forces without prior arrangement with local officials. This news comes as part of the US rapid removal of all forces from Afghanistan. Bagram has for the last 10 years been the stronghold for all US and British operations in the area. Local authorities have condemned the rapid removal of all US forces stating that it made Afgan forces vulnerable to extremist attacks. The US decision to relinquish Bagram in this sudden manner is a massive symbol to the Middle East that the era of US occupation in Afghanistan is over. Besides the 3.5 million ‘objects’ left at the base by US forces, over 5000 prisoners were left behind locked in the on-base prison.
U.S. RAPPER LIL BABY ARRESTED IN PARIS FOR CARRYING ‘NARCOTICS’
Lil Baby was arrested in Paris on Thursday evening whilst partying alongside NBA superstar James Harden for possession of Cannabis. Lil Baby had arrived in Paris to attend the Balenciaga show at this year’s Paris Fashion Week before later getting arrested. He remains in custody.
