Stüssy has teamed up with Beats to bring us some over-the-ear goodness. The Beats Studio Pro headphone is the latest over-ear design by Beats by Dre and is dressed in colours reminiscent of urethane skateboard wheels and the resin used to construct surfboards, nodding to Stüssy’s Southern California roots.

The Stüssy x Beats Studio Pro is complemented by a range of features, including adaptive noise cancellation, spatial audio capabilities, and an extended battery life of up to 40 hours to ensure an immersive audio experience.

In a promotional video directed by Antosh Cimoszko for the release, Stüssy tribe member and DJ Hank Korsan leaves a New York apartment in a hurry, armed with Stüssy Beats. He hails a taxi, heads to the airport, and has a quick mid-flight nap before landing on the West Coast for a DJ gig, capturing Stüssy’s cross-coast and worldwide appeal. The campaign is made up of Lo-fi high-octane shots and perfectly captures the energetic kineticism of the dancefloor. Stills were captured by Conrad Brown, with Landon Ebeling heading up styling.

Beats aligns perfectly with the Stüssy brand, with the two previously collaborating on a Pill Speaker. The Californian label has been a go-to for musicians since its ‘80s inception. The label has been worn by a host of rappers, DJs and songwriters, from Eric B. & Rakim, to Goldie and Peggy Gou, to name a few.

Recently, Stüssy took to Instagram to unveil an editorial featuring Deviation Music co-founders Benji B and Judah Afriyie alongside legendary musician and DJ Don Letts, further visualising the brand’s strong ties to music. This wide-ranging cross-genre selection of artists solidifies Stüssy’s presence in music, from the underground to the mainstream.

The Stüssy and Beats collaboration will be available worldwide via the Stüssy website and in Chapter stores on Friday, December 15, at the following times:

North America – December 15, 10 a.m. PST

UK – December 15, 10 a.m. GMT

Europe – December 15, 10 a.m. CET

Japan & Korea – December 15, 10 a.m. JST
