Kazakhstan Fashion Week: Designers to have on your radar

This week, the international Fashion Week in Kazakhstan and Central Asia (also known as Visa Fashion Week Almaty) is taking place.

Since 2019, the event has been a means for designers to attract foreign buyers and media, and to act as a bridge between the local market and international trends.

It’s also home to the Next Designer Award. This year, the winners were young brand Four Nest, who premiered a collection titled "Tears of Kazakhstan" that was dedicated to the environment, and featured torched fabrics, sharp shapes, transparent materials, and photorealistic prints, with some images even resembling giant bin bags.
