Emporio Armani’s FW25 show was a reminder of why the brand’s GOATed, in case you had forgotten. Tapping into pretty much every trend we’re loving right now, from gorpcore jackets to tailored suits to animal print bags and shoes, the collection designed by the legend himself, Giorgio Armani, really had something for everyone.
We all know Emporio Armani as Giorgio Armani’s answer to tapping the younger demographic, recognised for its more youthful, playful drops compared to its counterpart, Giorgio Armani (which is showing on Monday 20th, keep an eye out), but for FW25 Emporio Armani took “youthful” and “playful” to another level.
Without losing an ounce of Giorgio Armani’s elevated subtlety, with suave suits and sleek tailoring still prominent throughout the collection, Emporio Armani also delivered gorpy puffer outerwear, fur collars, slouchy hoodies, and floral print shirts too.
Outerwear was as always the main character, opening the show with camping-style puffers and closing it with diamond-embellished tailored jackets. Silhouettes were slim, sleek, and precisely cut, seen in jackets with large fur collars attached and velvet trousers that moved like liquid.
It’s worth noting that Giorgio Armani designed this collection with the club in mind, saying in his show notes that style is “like a club, a lounge or a conversation circle where time seems to slow.” You can tell that every look was designed with a party-goers mindset, considering the whole collection - even the apres ski range that opened - was effortlessly cool yet comfortable, with the appearance that you really could wear it all night (and the next morning coming home).
Each look was paired with standout accessories, like a croc-embossed burgundy belt, a small fur handbag, leopard print loafers, and even coloured ski poles under one model's arms. There was also the usual array of leather bags in different shapes, sizes, and forms, from a bottle bag to a handheld clutch.
Despite how trend driven the collection appears, Emporio Armani reminds us that its ethos is still the same. The brand’s show notes commented that the collection is inspired by “a man who embodies effortless sophistication, even daring to embrace the boldness of a tie.” He’s not like these other guys - he’s better.
